Paul Christoforo and the Avenger N-Controller

I’ve actually been considering getting the Avenger N-Controller adapter for the Xbox 360 for a while now. There are certain games where I find having to take my left thumb off the left thumb-stick to press on the D-pad to change weapons in Gears of War 3 have slowed me down when I quickly needed to get out my shotgun to blast an enemy at close range.

I think I recall changing my controls in some of the older Halo games as well whilst trying to find the best way to be able to quickly melee enemies without having to take my right tumb off the right stick.

I think with one of these controllers, I’d be able to maybe do these sorts of maneuvers better and I wouldn’t be surprised if half the people I play against online are already using them, since they seem to do this type of stuff without any problem at all.

Well, my order (which I haven’t placed yet) has sort of been postponed by a huge controversy caused by Paul Christoforo who has done a great job at ruining the reputation of his client and his own name. Here is a link to an article I wrote about Paul Christoforo for Social Media Overflow / The Twemps blog.

Article about the Qantas Luxury Twitter embarrassment

I wrote an article for Social Media Overflow (which is the blog site for social networking outsourcing company Twemps) about an embarrassing Twitter contest held by Qantas which quickly went out of control. This is not the first time Twitter Hashtags have gone out of control and caused embarrassment for large companies, and definitely won’t be the last time either. I hope no one gets fired when their social media campaigns go out of control. It’s gotta be tough doing social media for such big companies with lots of unhappy customers.

My TrainSEM article about Siri

Whilst in America for Pubcon Las Vegas 2011 I actually got to use my new iPhone 4S to its full potential and actually used Siri to get directions to places / find out where nearby stores were. It was pretty awesome. I hardly ever use Siri when in Australia, I’m looking forward to the update that allows us Australians to use Siri for actual useful things here instead of just asking it silly questions. Here is my article about Siri in regard to Google local search for TrainSEM.

My Pubcon Notes

I recently went to Pubcon Las Vegas 2011 and had a great time. Pubcon is one of the world’s biggest online marketing / social media conferences and goes for 3 days with about 10 rooms worth of speakers on simultaneously . I went with my work TrainSEM which is an online marketing / social media training organisation. One of my bosses was actually talking at the event so that was pretty cool for us. Here are some of my notes from Pubcon.
